Our secret ingredient is avocado!
Avocado is a heart healthy fruit! It contains high levels of Vitamin C and Vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 is important for the functioning of the cardiovascular, muscular, digestive, immune and nervous system. They contain beta- sitosterol and high in monounsaturated fat which can help lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglyceride levels as well as increase good cholesterol (HDL) Avocados are also a good source of minerals such as magnesium and iron. This fruit is not only healthy for our inside but from consumption makes our hair, skin and nails healthy too.
Cacao powder is the raw form of chocolate and is nutrient dense and high in antioxidants. When you think of antioxidants think of pigmentation. Two antioxidant compounds that give pigmentation and that are concentrated in cacao are anthocyanin and epicatechin. Anthocyanin fights free radicals and give anti-inflammatory effects. Epicatechin improves heart health and has insulin mimic action which increases acetylcholinesterase activity. An activity that is lower in people who have type 2 diabetics. Chocolate is the ultimate comfort food as it promotes the release of feel good neurotransmitters like serotonin and endorphins.
